Access:
By car from Ljubljana via Šentvid, Vižmarje and Tacen or by highway on the first exit in the direction to Ljubljana and then one more kilometre in the direction to Vodice. You can park by the road. You can also take a city bus No. 8 and get down on the Šmartno station and go on foot for one kilometer.

The Skaručna trail
The trail starts at the Šmartno – Skaručna highway overpass. At first it takes us through marshy meadows and then scales to the cart track till the path that encircles Šmarna gora. It goes past the chapel, crosses a meadow on the Saddle and joins the common trail from Tacen. It is one of the most seldom visited trails to Šmarna gora, suitable for summer walks in the chill of northern slopes.
